You are here: Home Lance Armstong faces Oprah
Stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and disgraced at length in the media and beyond, Lance Armstrong ukhiphe konke Monday 14th January 2013 in a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey.
After speculations and accusations, Armstrong has admitted to Oprah ukuthi gand sharp he did make use of banned performance-enhancing drugs. He has however denied the claims that he has been doping for more than a decade.
The interview lasted for about 2 ½ hours, which is pretty darn impressive for such a huge story but Miss Winfrey has the power to uncover what many have only attempted and failed dismally. According to Oprah, with her crew, they were stunned yet mesmerized by the answers Armstrong gave; showing that he was completely ready to reveal the truth.
"He did not come clean in the manner I expected. I was surprised," said Winfrey.
People had speculated that since Oprah had known Lance for some time now that she would be less assertive in her approach. This was not the case as she went in prepared and ready to get him at his most vulnerable. “There were a couple of times when he was emotional but emotional doesn't begin to describe the intensity or difficulty he experienced in talking about some of these things," said Oprah.
Oprah confirmed that most of the questions which the world was pining to know had been answered as Lance had a willingness to confess. This is the beginning of a journey for Lance Armstrong, but now in retrospect, a journey to recovery which he knows and understands too well.
