The ANC has adopted the Second Transitional Phase at its 53 electoral conference currently underway in Mangaung in the Free State.

The ANC has been in power since 1994 when Nelson Mandela won the first democratic elections.
Potgieter-Gqubule said: “How do we move forward to make sure we have progress?” “How do we improve our health system, provide social security, improve social services and basic services and so forth.”
The needs of the poor had to be placed at the top of the national agenda.
The second phase of transition document was a brain child of former ANC Chief Whip and convicted fraudster, Tony Yengeni.
