After various stumbiling blocks the elections for the National Executive Committee of the ANC have finally been concluded, and of course nama surprises a baie.
A few of the popular ANC members, particularly those seen to be against the party president Jacob Zuma bakhahlelwe phandle and were voted out. There were also those making a comeback.
Former reserve bank governor, Tito Mboweni ushaye icome back as NEC, together with former Minister for Public Works, Thoko Didiza and Mcebisi Skhwatsha.
Left outside the NEC is; Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe, who declined the nomination, Human Settlement Minister, Tokyo Sexwale, Treasurer Matthews Phosa, Owezemidlalo, Fikile Mbalula and Arts and Culture Minister, Paul Mashatile.
Amajita did not garner enough votes to make it to the new NEC. Motlanthe however, will be heading the political education of the ANC. Sekunjalo ke, abantu bakhulumile.
