Former African National Congress Youth League president uJulius Malema ‘Juju’ is facing bankruptcy.
According to a report by News24, Malema told oshwashwi ba Sunday “he was being avoided as if he had leprosy by people who had been his friends until recently”.
Lo kaMalema is involved in a fight with SARS over a R16 Million in outstanding taxes. An infrastructure contract of R52m was the heart of the case against him.
Some of impintshi zakhe and former business partners have allegedly turned against Juju and will become state witnesses on case his case for untshontsha inyuku. The charges include; racketeering, money laundering and corruption against Malema and three others.
Malema took responsibility for his tax account and is willing to pay iziGidi ezine (R4m) of the outstanding R16m but sources indicate that this is not deemed sufficient.
Malema has insisted: “There is not a cent coming from drugs or the underworld. My life is an open book.”
