You are here: Mzansinews Gay wedding blows Americans over
A Recent gay marriage that happened in KwaZulu- Natal has blown the United States of America over and has tongue talking in Obamaland. Two weeks back, Thoba Sithole and Cameron Modisane exchanged I do's in a traditional Zulu marriage style. This didn't go down well with some folks as was to be expected. Abantu abayifuni into entle.
Traditionalists say gay marriage was against tradition. Religious fanatics say it’s against God’s will. The couple maintained that being gay is as African as being black. What God has put joined together, let no man put asunder.
But the two are married and that is what it is. Umshado ubumuhle kakhulu, some of those in attendance were in tears. The couple was so in love. There’s talk of a white wedding later in the year.
The In laws welcomed the pair. They had no problem at all with the wedding. To them it was just two people taking their love to the next level.
Now the marriage has hit Obamaland with a bang. That country is going yadda yadda with this ‘amazing’ thing that happened in Mzansi.
America is one of the countries where gay people are still trying to get equal rights in some states. The country claims to be the leading light in the world. It is referred to as the land of the free.
As to why this is big news in America is not clear. But, America has a rather stupid view of what Africa is
To most it is just one big country like their country is. They fail to know that Africa is divided into countries and not states.
Mzansi is showing them the way forward here .Being the greatest democracy they claim to be, their views on sexuality are disappointing.
American comedian Chris Rock once said that Gay people should be allowed to marry, that they have every right to be as miserable as anybody else, LOL.
